San Francisco-based freelance photographer Lianne Milton is in Cambodia as I write this post. She got on a plane two days after we worked together. Our goal was to work through an approach to telling a story while she’s in country and talk about ways to improve her photography in general.

She called our session a check up, not unlike what you’d get from a physical trainer.

Lianne starts from a good point. She makes nice pictures. So the check up was more a matter of going from being able to do a half marathon to setting a training path for a full marathon.

We’ll reconvene when she returns, to talk about and edit the work she produced. I’m betting she’ll make pictures that are new to her, that she'll set an even faster, longer pace. Stay tuned.
