Congratulations to Karla

Congratulations to all of the World Press Photo contest winners and particularly to Karla Gachet for winning third place in arts and entertainment picture story for her story about Ceci, a Tango dancer. The story came from Karla and Ivan Kashinsky's book "Historias Mínimas" that came from their epic travels through South America. More about the book here and here.

The second link is to Nuestra Mirada, a cooperative effort organized by Pablo Corral Vega to bring a new voice to Latin American and Spanish photographers. It's worth spending time there.

In the meantime, we can feel the happiness coming from Karla and Ivan's home in Ecuador. Their hard work being recognized is so nice.
